Ski Resorts and High Gasoline Prices Considered
Some regions had excellent snow fall this year, other regions did not. There are issues with this, including less water supply for the summer months from the run-off, and the local ski resorts without the heavy snow fall saw less traffic, higher expenses and tightening of budgets. Now with gasoline prices pressing up against $4.00 per gallon, fewer people will be visiting that last snow of the season. Worse, is the fact that many ski resorts have Spring, Summer and Fall Activities also; such as, downhill bicycle racing, mountain biking, hiking, Boy Scouts, Summer Camps, etc.
